Our Plan

As part of our mission to have the voice of physicians heard, NJ PHYSICIANS has put into place a plan to educate our patients, our legislators and our regulators. Our commitment is to:

- HAVE A STRONG VOICE IN TRENTON before the legislature, the Governor and the regulators.

- CHALLENGE COST-CUTTING SCHEMES that jeopardize the health of our patients.

- Ensure that MEDICAL DECISIONS ARE MADE BY PHYSICIANS and vigorously oppose any efforts to compromise this.

- Demand PROPER REIMBURSEMENT for the care we provide.

- ENGAGE THIRD PARTY PAYORS at the bargaining table so neither we, nor the patients, are short-changed.

- FORGE STRATEGIC ALLIANCES with labor and business leaders, with the pharmaceutical industry, with our malpractice insurance companies, with our hospitals and with all organizations concerned with healthcare in New Jersey.

- CREATE A REGISTRY OF ARBITRARY DENIALS AND DELAYS in treatment and diagnosis that have adversely affected patient care.

- Offer EXPERIENCED COUNSEL to assist those facing MALPRACTICE SUITS and GOVERNMENT INQUIRY.

- Work with the major medical malpractice carriers to IMPLEMENT PROVEN RISK PREVENTION PROGRAMS that can LOWER PREMIUMS.

- Organize web-based “Town Hall” meetings to IDENTIFY ISSUES OF CONCERN and DEVELOP STRATEGIES to address them.

- COMMUNICATE new developments as they occur, and at least once per week.

- REDUCE OVERHEAD COSTS through programs specially designed by our corporate sponsors including American Express®, Kern Augustine Conroy & Schoppmann, the McLachlan Kane Insurance Agency, Mid Atlantic Resource Group, QualCare, Inc. and others.

- PROVIDE QUALITY, WEB-BASED CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION free of charge.
